One thing government should spend money on to make area safer from violence, by race
Seems related to own experiences & fears about crime rather than thinking about solutions to the broader problem.

Race:
Indians most likely to say prev and policing - maybe because they least likely to see them often - and least happy with their performance?

Settlement types - property and violent crime:
•Trad rural much more likely to go for social dev
•Prev and enforcement favoured by metros and urban (rural last)
•Judiciary & punishment favoured by farmers (rural last)

•those most likely to suggest social development as a priority lived in the poorer provinces, specifically KwaZulu Natal, Limpopo province, Mpumalanga and the Eastern Cape

PROPERTY:
black and then coloured respondents were significantly more likely to identify social development as the area of priority, while whites were more likely to emphasise policing (crime prevention and law enforcement) and Indians judiciary and courts.
